Lol Sariphi just charming another mighty beast, I like how she stands firm and isn't afraid of him. His little scare tactics aren't working because she can tell it's an inferiority complex.

It's nice to see the contrast between Leo and Fenrir and also their vassals. I am sure there's going to be a scene where something happens to Nir and Fenrir will react in a way proving that Nir isn't just some slave/pawn to him.

Cy trying to cheer up Leo was sweet, I did like how he iterated that they are slowly but surely changing. Look how loyal Lante is as well, he definitely wasn't like that before he became the Captain; seeing him fight like that, to make up for being protected by the person he's supposed to protect, it was surprising to see what state he was in. It was also moving to watch Sariphi tell him that he shouldn't be throwing his life away, that he's her guard to see her become a genuine queen.

Now that Sariphi and Fenrir's location has been revealed, I am excited to see how this reunion between Leo and Fenrir will go. Everyone seems to be heading there so it's definitely going to get crazy.

Animators and illustrators are being realistic, in reference to the manga. What you're referring to is sometimes when an anime set in a western world with comedy bits like one piece, Pokémon, etc etc. (which is being censored via edits, when it airs on western media distributions). This one is light on comedy but most of the time, it's drama and romance.

Just because it's made in Japan doesn't mean it will have anything japanese, save for it is an anime.

I do feel bad for those two doggies during their childhood; or, maybe "puphood" in their case. Joke aside, I really feel sad for their upbringing. However, what Sali told Fenrir about him being weak just because he feels gratification from hurting the weak & defenseless, does hit the mark for me. She also has seen him being shallow with that kind of thinking.

charging through a barrier is the best thing her sacred beast can do? is it depowered since its master is a human, or just because its still newly "hatched/resurrected"?

Bennu is low on power because of previous owners abusing him, just that.
Sari being a magicless human doesn't helps much, but I'm pretty sure that if he rests for long enough, he might just have his powers back, that is why he told he was retired. That, or either he is really a bit too old and needs reviving to get back to being really powerful, like how it happens to phoenix. They get weak and die, then come back from the ashes stronger than ever.
There might as well be some kind of plot change on the fact he might get his powers not from just magic, but the pure feelings of Sari wanting to help others.

That and he's a bloody blooming Pheonix! He has to DIE to gain rebirth and new power... But he did DIE after old owners so yeah, that.
